Antiques Weekend
This weekend was the 2nd annual Boston Antiques Weekend at the Seaport World Trade Center.
Featuring 235 dealers in three shows under one roof - celebrating antiques, art, vintage fashion, antique textiles, antiquarian books & ephemera. When I walked into this show I felt like a kid in a candy store. Very expensive candy that is. The torrential rain I’d driven through to get there on Saturday had kept the crowds at bay, but not the kind of numbers that a show of this size and quality deserved. The upside was that I meant some wonderful dealers, not at all the stuffy shirts that you might expect. Most were thrilled to chat about their areas of specialty whether is was Hickory furniture or lobster-shapped serving dishes. Check out our upcoming August issue on Antiques for the full story.
